Steamboat Atlanta Flight added

Steamboat's Airline program announced they will add a winter roundtrip from Atlanta to Hayden on Delta for next winter. The program uses a combination of funds from the ski area and local lodging taxes to guarantee airlines revenues as new flights are added from strategic areas. Once a flight is established they move on to add other flights. This season only half of the $2m guarantee budget was used due to strong demand for flights from visitors to Steamboat Springs. The program guarantees minimum flight loads and pays only if the loads are below set levels. The program plans to boost availible seats to about 150,000 for this coming winter from 130,000 this season. Between this and the improvements they have already started on at the Hayden Airport you can expect it to get easier to get to Steamboat by winter.
