Toast to a Great Ski Season

It is our tradition to have a european style picnic up on top by the weather station on the last day of the ski season here in Steamboat. This is reminiscent of our trips to Chamonix, Zermatt, & Lech. It's a great time to give thanks for where we are so lucky to live and toast the end of the lift served ski season for Steamboat. We got engaged on top of Storm Peak very close to here so the mountain is special on several levels to us. I have a much longer term tradition of skiing some of the rocky chutes in this area for my last run of the year. The snow is almost always good in my special spot even on the last day of the year. This year was no different. We are looking forward to including Alden and Neve in these traditions soon. I hope that you
have or develop some Steamboat traditions that are special to you too.
