The lifts in Steamboat are still this morning

The lifts closed on Steamboat's Mount Werner yesterday with huge amounts of snow still left up top and Tony Furtado playing for a celebratory crowd. I plan to skin up the mountain and Buff Pass a few times for some more turns and likely some more powder before mother nature decides the season is over. Let me know if I can make a few turns for you.

Now it's very quiet up here around the base area. It's been an amazing season and I'm sad to see it go but looking forward to the chance to catch up on work and prepare for summer (plus sneak in a couple of trips to the desert to mountain bike in Fruita and maybe Moab ;). I hope that you had a chance to make it to Steamboat Springs a few times this year to enjoy all that the Yampa Valley and the surrounding mountains have to offer. If you haven't been here in the summer yet make sure to plan a trip. There are even more things to do in the summer and more daylight to do them.
